Potts Food Pantry

In the many ways God has called us.

The Barbara J. Potts Memorial Food Pantry has been in operation since 1997 when it started in a small cabinet at Washington Avenue Presbyterian Church. The mission to care for church members and community families continued and grew in 2000 when Washington Avenue Presbyterian and Westminster Presbyterian Churches merged to became Unity Presbyterian Church.  When the church moved to its new location on Springhill Drive in 2003 it continued this important service by establishing the Food Pantry in our office building, the tan house to the right of our worship center. The Potts Food Pantry is supported by church fundraisers, member donations, community groups and business donations, and private individual donations.  We partner with the Salvation Army and Catholic Charities to continue our commitment to follow Jesus' command to "Feed my sheep."  We are ever grateful for Barbra Potts and her vision of hope.

Currently the Food Pantry can support up to twelve families on a monthly basis with supplemental groceries.

Emergency Groceries Bags are available on Mondays between the hours of 9am and 11 am, those seeking assistance should bring photo ID and a document that can provide proof of address if possible.

If you or someone you know is in need of assistance please contact the church office.

Item donations for the Food Pantry can be dropped off during regular Sunday Worship at 10:30 am or during the regular office hours. We also can accept a PayPal donation through our website here.

If you are interested in Volunteering to help pack our monthly distributions, pick-up from our partner Catholic Charities, or shop for groceries please contact the church office or Pastor Andrew.
